Doug Beveridge
Doug works with clients to build the mutual understanding, trust and respect necessary for a productive and beneficial working relationship. Doug listens to client issues and collaborates with them to diagnose causes, identify realistic solutions and implement appropriate changes in a timely and cost-effective manner. Doug brings a broad portfolio of client work and prior experience in such industries as high tech, biotechnology and distribution. He has personally delivered and managed projects in the areas of organizational design and effectiveness, sales force sizing and deployment and sales incentive compensation design.
Recent Engagements
Doug recently worked with a leading biotechnology company to a) better understand customer needs and call points through the application of primary research and secondary data, b) prioritize
accounts based on relative value and opportunity and c) determine the most effective coverage and deployment in preparation for launch.
Doug also worked with a biotechnology company’s managed care unit to refine the client’s approach to providing regional reimbursement support to existing customers. Doug and his team conducted interviews, performed benchmark time studies and monitored a multi-state pilot program to identify opportunities to improve overall resource effectiveness. The engagement led to the better application of internal and external best practices, a more sophisticated approach to workforce sizing and the decision to expand pilot processes on a national level.
Recent work with a leading airframe manufacturer included the design and implementation of a custom industry survey of pay practices, as well as the design and development of new sales incentive compensation plans. The resulting global compensation plans more closely linked incentive compensation with desired sales force activities, addressed geographical differences in the selling process and mitigated existing channel conflict issues.
Prior Experience
Doug joined The Alexander Group in 2005 as a member of the Atlanta office. Previously he held leadership positions within Sales and Marketing in the eBusiness organization at the third-largest domestic airline. Doug joined PricewaterhouseCoopers after earning his MBA, where he worked as a member of the Organizational Design and Change Management Group, which focused on identifying and realizing benefits through large ERP implementations. Prior to graduate school, Doug led mine remediation and roadway stabilization efforts as a construction project engineer for a $500 million highway construction project.
